Salary Range: $69,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test manufacturing tools, dies, and fixtures.
• Analyze tooling performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and implement solutions.
• Manage tooling projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget.
• Evaluate new tooling technologies and materials for potential application in manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain tooling specifications, documentation, and maintenance schedules.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in tooling design, development, and optimization within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for designing and simulating tooling.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, stamping, machining) and their tooling requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex tooling issues to improve production efficiency and quality.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for mold design and analysis (e.g., SolidWorks, Catia, Moldflow).
• Familiarity with various manufacturing processes beyond injection molding (e.g., stamping, casting, CNC machining).
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in a programming language for automation or data analysis (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
• Experience with metrology equipment and software for dimensional inspection (e.g., CMM, optical scanners).
