Tooling Engineer | Wyoming, MI
Salary Range: $69,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Wyoming that are seeking skilled Tooling Engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test manufacturing tools, dies, and fixtures.
- Analyze tooling performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and implement solutions.
- Manage tooling projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget.
- Evaluate new tooling technologies and materials for potential application in manufacturing processes.
- Develop and maintain tooling specifications, documentation, and maintenance schedules.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in tooling design, development, and optimization within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for designing and simulating tooling.
- Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, stamping, machining) and their tooling requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex tooling issues to improve production efficiency and quality.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with CAD/CAM software for mold design and analysis (e.g., SolidWorks, Catia, Moldflow).
- Familiarity with various manufacturing processes beyond injection molding (e.g., stamping, casting, CNC machining).
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in a programming language for automation or data analysis (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
- Experience with metrology equipment and software for dimensional inspection (e.g., CMM, optical scanners).
