Salary Range: $59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Allendale that are seeking Tool Makers. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and modify precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• Operate a variety of machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production tooling and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex tooling issues to minimize downtime.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to meet specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Select appropriate materials and heat treatments for tool longevity and performance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tool Maker in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in operating a wide range of manual and CNC machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs).
• Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Expertise in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMMs) for quality control.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills for diagnosing and repairing complex tooling issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• CAD/CAM software proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam)
• Experience with CNC programming and machine operation
• Knowledge of advanced metrology and inspection techniques (e.g., CMM operation)
• Welding and fabrication skills
• Jig and fixture design experience
