Maintenance Technician | Newaygo, MI

Salary Range: $44,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions using schematics, diagrams, and test equipment.
• Install, commission, and de-commission new and existing production machinery.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Demonstrated experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens).
• Strong understanding and practical application of preventive and predictive maintenance principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Commitment to safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in welding and fabrication (MIG, TIG, stick).
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
• HVAC or refrigeration system maintenance experience.
