Salary Range: $81,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans and policies to support manufacturing operations.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery terms for raw materials and components.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, and compliance, conducting regular reviews and audits.
• Collaborate with production, planning, and engineering departments to ensure timely material availability and optimize inventory levels.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities and value engineering initiatives without compromising quality or supply chain reliability.
• Negotiate and administer purchasing contracts, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and company standards.
• Mitigate supply chain risks, including material shortages, price volatility, and quality issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and vendor relationship management.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, raw materials, and supply chain best practices.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage a purchasing team.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Demonstrated experience with advanced ERP procurement modules (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle SCM Cloud).
• Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis and forecasting.
