Quality Technician | Hart, MI

Salary Range: $45,000 - $68,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods against specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify product dimensions.
  • Document inspection results accurately, maintain quality records, and generate inspection reports.
  • Identify, quarantine, and manage non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action requests as needed.
  • Assist in the investigation of quality issues, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support the calibration, maintenance, and verification of quality control inspection and test equipment.
  • Adhere to and promote adherence to quality management system procedures, work instructions, and safety protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficient in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
  • Experience with quality inspection processes (receiving, in-process, final).
  • Understanding of basic statistical process control (SPC) and data collection.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
  • Internal auditing experience (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement training.
  • Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and application.
