Salary Range: $69,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing tooling, jigs, fixtures, and molds.
• Analyze tooling performance, identify root causes of failures, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage the full lifecycle of tooling, including procurement, maintenance, repair, and replacement.
• Collaborate with production, design, and quality teams to ensure tooling meets product specifications and production requirements.
• Troubleshoot tooling-related issues on the production floor to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
• Ensure all tooling complies with safety standards, quality specifications, and industry regulations.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for tooling designs, specifications, and maintenance procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in tooling design, manufacturing, or maintenance.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) for tooling design.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling materials, heat treatment, and GD&T.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot tooling issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, mold flow analysis)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Proficiency in CAM software and CNC machining principles
• Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) for tooling applications
