Manufacturing Engineer | Whitehall, MI

Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality.
• Design, procure, and qualify production tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, improving yield and reducing downtime.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focusing on cost reduction, waste elimination, and process enhancements.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) from design concept through full-scale production.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process specifications.
• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, including process development and optimization.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for design and analysis.
• Strong understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
• Experience with tooling design, fixture design, and equipment specification.

Bonus Qualifications

• Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM)
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) or data analytics platforms (e.g., Python, R)
• Direct experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) in a manufacturing environment
• Hands-on programming experience with industrial robots or advanced automation systems
