Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine product designs, components, and assemblies using CAD software.
• Conduct design analysis, simulations, and calculations to ensure performance and reliability.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
• Prototype, test, and validate new designs, identifying and implementing design improvements.
• Research and select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for optimal product performance and cost-efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve design-related issues, non-conformances, and customer feedback.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
• Demonstrated experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Knowledge of material science, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with FEA/CFD simulation tools.
• Hands-on prototyping, testing, or assembly experience.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Advanced proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
