Salary Range: $54,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate new suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and resolve issues to ensure consistent supply and quality.
• Place purchase orders, expedite deliveries, and track order status to meet production schedules.
• Analyze market trends and commodity prices to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering and production departments to define material specifications and optimize inventory levels.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities without compromising quality or supply.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements for all purchased goods.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor).
• Demonstrated strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to analyze market trends, cost data, and supplier performance.
• Understanding of supply chain principles and inventory management practices.

Bonus Qualifications

• Understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, fabrication).
• Experience applying Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Project management experience, particularly with new product introductions (NPI).
• Proficiency in a second language relevant to global sourcing.
• Familiarity with advanced data analysis tools or business intelligence (BI) platforms.
