Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and validate CMM inspection programs from 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Interpret complex engineering blueprints, GD&T specifications, and quality standards for measurement planning.
• Perform first-article inspection (FAI), in-process, and final product inspections using CMM.
• Analyze inspection data, generate comprehensive reports, and communicate results to quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
• Troubleshoot CMM program errors, measurement discrepancies, and equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to optimize measurement processes and resolve quality issues.
• Maintain CMM equipment, fixtures, and probes, ensuring proper calibration and operational readiness.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
• Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.
• Experience with CAD software for model import and feature extraction.
• Knowledge of metrology principles and measurement techniques.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for model manipulation and fixture design.
• Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with metrology lab management, equipment calibration, or gauge R&R studies.
• Ability to design and/or fabricate custom CMM holding fixtures.
