HR Generalist | Paw Paw, MI

Salary Range: $58,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for production, skilled trades, and administrative positions.
• Administer employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as company policies and safety regulations.
• Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, including site-specific safety orientations.
• Administer performance management processes, including reviews, coaching, and goal setting.
• Oversee workers' compensation claims and promote a safe working environment.
• Develop and deliver training programs for employees and supervisors on various HR and safety topics.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, specifically within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including OSHA regulations and compliance in a production setting.
• Proven ability in full-cycle recruitment for a diverse range of roles, including production, skilled trades, and administrative positions.
• Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management in a blue-collar workforce.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and experience with payroll processing.

Bonus Qualifications

• Knowledge of manufacturing safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and best practices.
• Fluency in a second language common in the local workforce.
• Experience with time and attendance systems and/or HRIS modules specific to a production environment.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with high-volume recruitment for production and skilled trades roles.
