Salary Range: $58,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Charlotte seeking Buyers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize carrying costs.
• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to ensure material specifications are met.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of direct purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for purchasing and inventory management.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and achieve cost efficiencies.
• Aptitude for understanding technical specifications, engineering drawings, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Solid understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory control.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency with advanced features of major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor).
• Demonstrated experience in international sourcing and managing global supply chains.
• Project management experience focused on supplier integration or new product introduction.
