Salary Range: $48,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Portage that are seeking Bookkeepers. Key Responsibilities

• Record and categorize all financial transactions, including those related to manufacturing costs.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Process payroll and maintain accurate employee compensation records.
• Maintain and update the general ledger for all financial activities.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and financial reporting.
• Track and reconcile inventory movements and associated production costs.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and/or ERP systems common in manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of cost of goods sold, inventory valuation, and job costing principles.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills for record-keeping.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Familiarity with inventory costing methods (WIP, LIFO/FIFO)
• Prior experience assisting with financial audits in a manufacturing setting
• Exposure to cost analysis or variance reporting
