Salary Range: $63,000 - $96,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing costs (labor, material, overhead) and identify key variances.
• Develop and maintain standard costs for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
• Perform detailed variance analysis, explaining differences between actual and standard costs.
• Manage inventory valuation, ensuring accurate costing and reconciliation.
• Prepare cost reports, profitability analyses, and provide insights to management.
• Assist in the annual budget process, particularly related to production costs.
• Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities and process improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and inventory valuation methods.
• Proven ability to analyze cost data, identify variances, and provide actionable insights.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for presenting cost analysis.
• Advanced experience with specific ERP costing modules (e.g., SAP CO-PC, Oracle Cost Management).
• Ability to develop and maintain complex financial models using advanced Excel functions or VBA.
