Controls Engineer | Ludington, MI

Salary Range: $80,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PLC programs for automated manufacturing processes.
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot HMI/SCADA systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, control, and automation system failures.
• Specify, install, and commission new control hardware and software components.
• Optimize existing control systems for improved efficiency, reliability, and safety.
• Create and update electrical schematics, control narratives, and other technical documentation.
• Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations personnel.

Recommended Qualifications

• Expertise in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) and HMI/SCADA development.
• Strong knowledge of industrial networking protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Profinet).
• Proven ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex automation systems.
• Experience with motion control systems (servo drives, VFDs) and industrial robotics.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with industrial robotics (e.g., Fanuc, Kuka, ABB, Universal Robots).
• Proficiency in industrial vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence).
• Familiarity with database integration for manufacturing data (e.g., SQL, MES).
• Experience with Electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
