Salary Range: $49,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine calibration of manufacturing equipment and instrumentation.
  • Maintain accurate calibration records and documentation in accordance with quality procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair precision measuring equipment and test instruments.
  • Develop, review, and update calibration procedures and work instructions.
  • Ensure all calibration activities comply with internal quality standards and external regulations (e.g., ISO, FDA).
  • Manage the calibration schedule and recall system for all plant instrumentation.
  • Select, utilize, and maintain appropriate primary and secondary calibration standards.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Metrology, Electronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience in calibrating a wide range of measurement and test equipment (e.g., electrical, mechanical, temperature, pressure).
  • Strong understanding of calibration principles, measurement science, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 17025, ANSI Z540).
  • Proficiency with calibration software and Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis and meticulous record-keeping.
  • Ability to perform measurement uncertainty calculations and interpret technical documentation.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
  • Experience with calibration management software (e.g., IndySoft, GageTrack, Beamex).
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Basic electronics troubleshooting and repair skills for test equipment.
