Salary Range: $58,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Program CNC mills using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM).
• Develop and optimize machining processes, strategies, and tooling selection.
• Create and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters for various materials.
• Simulate and verify NC programs to ensure safety, efficiency, and part quality.
• Troubleshoot and debug programs during first-part prove-out on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to improve manufacturing processes and reduce cycle times.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM).
• Demonstrated ability to write, edit, and optimize G-code and M-code programs.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, and workholding strategies.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience programming 3-axis and multi-axis CNC milling machines.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with 5-axis programming and machining.
• Proficiency in CAM simulation software (e.g., Vericut, NCSIMUL).
• Ability to develop or modify post-processors.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
