Salary Range: $60,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes according to production specifications.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code programs.
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments.
• Load raw material bar stock and unload finished parts efficiently.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and tooling changes.
• Adjust offsets and compensate for tool wear to maintain part tolerances.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss-type lathes.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, G-code, and M-code for machine setup and adjustments.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, optical comparators) for quality inspection.
• Experience with tool changes, offset adjustments, and basic troubleshooting of common machine issues.
• Ability to monitor machine performance, identify potential problems, and ensure part quality meets specifications.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM or other advanced optical/laser inspection equipment.
• Basic G-code editing and program optimization skills.
• Demonstrated ability in preventative maintenance and minor machine troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
