Salary Range: $58,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC programs for milling operations.
• Generate efficient and safe tool paths using CAM software.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding strategies.
• Simulate and verify CNC programs to prevent collisions and ensure manufacturability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining process and programming issues on the shop floor.
• Create and maintain detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and manufacturing documentation.
• Collaborate with design engineers and machinists to improve part manufacturability and processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for generating efficient toolpaths.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming for 3-axis CNC milling machines.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knowledge of various cutting tools, workholding methods, and machining strategies for diverse materials.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in CNC mill programming within a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience designing custom workholding fixtures.
• Proficiency with metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators) for part validation.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Advanced multi-axis programming experience (4- and 5-axis).
