Salary Range: $59,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis milling machines using CAM software.
• Generate efficient and safe tool paths, considering material properties and machine capabilities.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding fixtures for specific part geometries.
• Perform program simulation and verification to ensure accuracy, prevent collisions, and optimize cycle times.
• Create and maintain detailed setup sheets, tooling lists, and program documentation.
• Analyze engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to determine optimal machining strategies.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot issues and continuously improve manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for mill programming.
• Expertise in G-code and M-code for CNC mill operation and editing.
• Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
• Knowledge of cutting tool selection, feeds, and speeds for various materials.
• Experience in CNC mill setup, operation, and troubleshooting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with CNC machine setup and operation.
• Experience designing fixtures or workholding solutions.
• Proficiency in multi-axis (4-axis or 5-axis) programming.
• Familiarity with post-processor editing or development.
