Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test embedded software and firmware for manufacturing automation and control systems.
• Integrate embedded systems with industrial control platforms, PLCs, sensors, and robotic equipment.
• Troubleshoot and debug embedded hardware and software issues on the production floor to minimize downtime.
• Implement real-time control algorithms for precision manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications for new manufacturing solutions.
• Conduct validation and verification testing of embedded systems to ensure reliability, performance, and safety in factory environments.
• Optimize existing embedded code for efficiency, robustness, and scalability in industrial applications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded software development.
• Experience with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex-M) and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Strong understanding of hardware-software interfacing and communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet).
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
• Proven ability to debug complex embedded systems using tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and supporting production test equipment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET, CAN).
• Proven experience designing and implementing automated test fixtures for production environments.
• Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) principles.
• Familiarity with PLC integration or industrial control systems.
