Salary Range: $67,000 - $98,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the organization, inventory, and maintenance of all tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and equipment.
• Manage and train tool room personnel, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for all tooling to minimize downtime.
• Control tool crib inventory levels, ordering new tools and replacement parts as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure the availability of correct tooling for manufacturing processes.
• Monitor tool usage and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Ensure proper calibration and certification of measuring instruments and gauges.
• Maintain accurate records of tool repairs, modifications, and inventory transactions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in tool room operations and inventory management.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tool fabrication, and maintenance.
• Excellent leadership and team supervision skills.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and CNC programming.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with quality control procedures and lean manufacturing principles.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• - Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for inventory management.
• - Certification in a relevant trade (e.g., machinist, tool and die maker).
• - Basic understanding of preventative maintenance schedules and procedures.
• - Experience with quality control methodologies and data analysis.
