Salary Range: $56,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and other metal components.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine manufacturing processes and tolerances.
- Operate and maintain a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauge blocks, to ensure accuracy.
- Perform heat treating, welding, and assembly operations as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with tooling and equipment during production runs.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize tool design and performance.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and production times.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a tool and die apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training.
- Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker, demonstrating proficiency in operating manual and CNC machining equipment (e.g., lathes, milling machines, grinders).
- Strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
- Ability to safely handle and maintain tools, machinery, and materials in a manufacturing environment.
Bonus Qualifications
- - Experience with CNC programming and operation.
- - Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tool design.
- - Knowledge of heat treating processes for tooling.
- - Certification in advanced machining techniques.
- - Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
