Salary Range: $65,000 - $100,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints and design specifications to create tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Operate precision machine tools (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs) to fabricate components.
- Assemble, fit, and test new and repaired tools and dies for proper function and accuracy.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot issues with existing tooling.
- Inspect finished tools and dies for quality, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
- Repair and modify damaged or worn tools, dies, and production equipment.
Recommended Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship program or 5+ years of equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in operating and setting up a variety of manual and CNC machine tools, including mills, lathes, grinders, and EDMs.
- Expert ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, and CMMs.
- Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment processes, and material properties for various metals and alloys.
- Proven aptitude for precision assembly, fitting, troubleshooting, and problem-solving to meet exact specifications.
Bonus Qualifications
- - Experience with CNC programming and operation.
- - Proficiency in CAD/CAM software.
- - Knowledge of heat treatment processes for tooling.
- - Familiarity with advanced metrology equipment.
- - Experience with mold flow analysis.
