Salary Range: $54,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Supervise and train shipping and receiving team members, providing guidance and feedback.
• Coordinate with production and inventory teams to manage incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and packing slips, reporting discrepancies.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms.
• Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and staging of outgoing shipments according to company standards and carrier requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment for shipping and receiving areas.
• Monitor inventory levels within the shipping and receiving areas and report low stock or excess.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a shipping and receiving role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in managing a team.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP) and shipping software.
• Strong understanding of shipping regulations, documentation (BOLs, customs forms), and carrier procedures.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
• Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts
• Familiarity with bill of lading (BOL) creation and management
• Basic understanding of inventory management software (IMS)
• Proven ability to train and mentor junior team members
