Inventory Control Manager | Holland, MI

Salary Range: $74,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize inventory levels for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to meet production demands and minimize carrying costs.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust inventory control systems and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee and execute regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast future needs, and recommend strategies for improvement in inventory turns and reduction of excess/obsolete stock.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehousing departments to ensure seamless material flow and align inventory strategies with operational goals.
• Monitor and report on key inventory performance indicators (KPIs) such as accuracy, turns, and service levels.
• Implement strategies to prevent inventory shrinkage, damage, and obsolescence.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience (3-5+ years) in inventory management or a similar supply chain role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for inventory planning and control.
• Strong understanding and practical application of inventory control methodologies (e.g., cycle counting, ABC analysis, JIT, FIFO).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive process improvements.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.

Bonus Qualifications

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Proficiency in data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies applied to inventory processes.
• Familiarity with automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) or other warehouse automation technologies.
