Salary Range: $41,000 - $64,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products according to specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators to verify product conformity.
  • Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly in quality control logs, databases, or reports.
  • Identify and isolate non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective action processes.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure all critical parameters are met.
  • Maintain inspection tools and equipment in good working order, including performing calibration checks.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and support continuous improvement efforts.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify visual and dimensional defects.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry, reporting, and using inspection software.
  • High school diploma or GED; technical certification or Associate's degree in a relevant field preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or advanced vision systems.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) software and data reporting.
  • Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles.
