Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of packaging materials and designs to ensure product protection and shipping integrity.
• Select appropriate packaging materials based on performance requirements, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability goals.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate packaging into production processes.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives through packaging material reduction and design improvements.
• Ensure all packaging complies with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for packaging-related issues on the manufacturing floor.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in packaging development and engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for packaging design and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of various packaging materials (e.g., plastics, paperboard, corrugated) and their manufacturing processes.
• Experience with packaging machinery, automation, and line integration.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with sustainable packaging design principles, materials, and lifecycle assessment.
• Proficiency in packaging simulation software (e.g., Cape, TOPS) or Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or demonstrated experience in process optimization for packaging lines.
• Familiarity with automation and robotics integration in packaging operations.
