Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Conduct testing and validation of packaging materials and designs to ensure product protection and integrity.
• Identify and implement cost reduction and efficiency improvements for packaging processes and materials.
• Select appropriate packaging materials and technologies based on product requirements, manufacturing capabilities, and sustainability goals.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and supply chain teams to integrate packaging into product development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues on the production line to minimize downtime and waste.
• Ensure all packaging designs and materials comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality specifications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in packaging development and engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of various packaging materials, their properties, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in CAD software for packaging design and experience with packaging testing standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM).
• Demonstrated ability to manage packaging projects from concept to production, optimizing for manufacturability and cost.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Proficiency with advanced CAE/FEA software for packaging simulation and analysis
• Experience integrating packaging solutions with automated production lines
• Demonstrated experience in sustainable packaging material selection and design for circularity
