Reliability Engineer | Wayland, MI

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures to prevent recurrence.
• Develop, implement, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies (RCM, FMEA).
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as MTBF, MTTR, and OEE.
• Implement and manage predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).
• Lead capital projects focused on improving equipment reliability and uptime.
• Provide technical expertise and training to maintenance and operations personnel on reliability best practices.
• Optimize critical spare parts strategies and inventory levels.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
• 3-5+ years of reliability engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and other reliability methodologies.
• Practical experience with predictive maintenance (PdM) technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).
• Strong analytical skills, including maintenance data analysis, KPI calculation, and CMMS utilization.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) or scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis
• Experience with advanced predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., IoT sensors, machine learning for anomaly detection)
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
