Salary Range: $81,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supplier quality audit programs and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier quality and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and verify their effectiveness.
  • Review and approve supplier quality documentation, including inspection plans, test reports, and material certifications.
  • Conduct incoming material inspections and testing to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Manage supplier performance data and provide regular reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to foster a collaborative approach to quality.
  • Participate in the selection and qualification of new suppliers, assessing their quality systems and capabilities.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Materials) or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in supplier quality management, including auditing, performance monitoring, and issue resolution within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and relevant industry standards.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and data interpretation to drive quality improvements and supplier performance.

Bonus Qualifications

  • - Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • - Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) software.
  • - Certification in ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or similar.
  • - Experience with supplier development and auditing programs.
  • - Knowledge of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
