Salary Range: $79,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality standards and procedures.
• Conduct supplier audits (on-site and remote) to assess quality systems and processes.
• Manage supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) and verify their effectiveness.
• Review and approve supplier documentation, including First Article Inspections (FAIs) and PPAPs.
• Monitor supplier performance through key quality metrics and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with internal engineering and procurement teams to resolve supplier quality issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance product quality.
• Qualify new suppliers and establish robust incoming inspection plans.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in supplier quality management, including supplier audits, risk assessments, and corrective action implementation.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
• Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Experience with supplier qualification processes, performance monitoring, and supplier development initiatives.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software.
• - Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and tools.
• - Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or relevant ASQ certification.
• - Experience with root cause analysis methodologies like 8D or DMAIC.
• - Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies.
