Salary Range: $68,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize new and existing tooling, fixtures, and jigs for manufacturing processes.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of production tooling to ensure operational readiness.
• Troubleshoot tooling-related production issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve quality.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, design, and quality teams to define tooling requirements and provide technical support.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for tooling components.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives for tooling performance, lifespan, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure all tooling complies with safety standards, quality specifications, and operational requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in tooling design, development, and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with industry-standard CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
• In-depth understanding of various tooling types (molds, dies, jigs, fixtures) and manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, stamping, CNC machining).
• Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and application.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot tooling issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) for tooling applications.
• Proficiency in FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software for tooling design and validation.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex tooling development projects from concept to production.
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 principles as applied to tooling, such as smart tooling or predictive maintenance.
