Salary Range: $56,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform precise dimensional measurements on manufactured parts, tools, and assemblies.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of metrology equipment, including CMMs, vision systems, and hand tools.
• Analyze measurement data, identify trends, and generate detailed reports for quality control and engineering teams.
• Develop, document, and validate measurement procedures and programs.
• Ensure all metrology activities comply with internal quality standards and external regulations (e.g., ISO 17025).
• Manage and maintain accurate calibration schedules and records for all measurement tools.
• Provide technical support and training on metrology principles and equipment usage to production staff.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and calibrating precision measurement equipment (e.g., CMMs, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers).
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint interpretation.
• Technical degree or certification in metrology, quality assurance, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or metrology laboratory setting.
• Ability to analyze measurement data, troubleshoot discrepancies, and generate detailed inspection reports.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for process capability studies.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification.
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for model interpretation and fixture design.
