Salary Range: $62,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Holt seeking Buyers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers for raw materials, components, and services.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to achieve cost savings and optimize lead times.
• Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of materials to support production.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with planning to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
• Resolve discrepancies with suppliers regarding quality, quantity, and delivery issues.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure material specifications and requirements are met.
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of direct purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex) for procurement functions.
• Strong negotiation, supplier relationship management, and contract management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve cost savings and improve supplier performance.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with major ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
• Technical aptitude or background in manufacturing processes or materials
• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM)
