Salary Range: $70,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize product designs, components, and assemblies using CAD software.
• Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) analyses.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to meet product requirements and cost targets.
• Design, build, and test prototypes to validate functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to resolve design-on-production issues.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication)
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
• Knowledge of engineering materials and their application
• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) for design validation.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and validation of physical designs.
• Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) or ERP systems.
• Certification or strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, VBA) for design automation or data analysis.
