EHS Manager | Allendale, MI

Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company policies.
• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs, procedures, and policies.
• Conduct EHS risk assessments, audits, and inspections, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement effective prevention strategies for accidents and near misses.
• Design and deliver EHS training programs for all employees, fostering a strong safety culture.
• Oversee hazardous waste management, air emissions, and wastewater discharge to ensure environmental compliance.
• Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and response plans for the manufacturing facility.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive EHS management experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Proven experience developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive EHS programs and systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to influence and drive cultural change.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification
• Proven experience integrating EHS into broader operational excellence or continuous improvement programs
• Experience with EHS management software implementation or advanced data analytics for EHS metrics
