Salary Range: $59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs for manufactured parts.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and CAD models to create robust measurement strategies.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and routine production part inspections using CMMs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve CMM program errors, machine issues, and measurement discrepancies.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to define inspection requirements and improve part quality.
• Document inspection results, program revisions, and maintain CMM program libraries.
• Calibrate and maintain CMM equipment, probes, and associated tooling.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Expert-level understanding and application of GD&T principles.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models.
• Demonstrated experience in programming, operating, and troubleshooting CMMs.
• Strong knowledge of metrology best practices and measurement uncertainty.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for model manipulation or fixture design
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis
• Knowledge of other metrology equipment and calibration processes
• Scripting or automation experience for advanced reporting or program optimization
