Salary Range: $49,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on precision measurement equipment and gauges.
• Operate, program, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other automated inspection systems.
• Conduct dimensional inspections of manufactured parts, tools, and assemblies using various metrology tools.
• Analyze measurement data, interpret engineering drawings, and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and identify root causes for non-conforming products or equipment.
• Maintain accurate calibration records and ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external regulations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new measurement processes, procedures, and fixtures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Metrology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven proficiency in operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) using industry-standard software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Expertise in using a wide range of precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and optical comparators.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or metrology laboratory setting.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or GD&T certification.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for model-based inspection.
• Experience with advanced metrology equipment such as laser scanners, structured light scanners, or CT scanners.
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Ability to develop and optimize measurement programs for automated systems (e.g., CMM, vision systems).
