Salary Range: $77,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance evaluations, and new supplier qualification processes.
• Collaborate with production and planning teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure continuity of supply.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives and value analysis projects to improve profitability.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Mitigate supply chain risks, including lead time variations, quality issues, and geopolitical factors.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
• Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material requirements planning (MRP), and lean principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning abilities.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
• Experience with global sourcing and international logistics
• Professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CPSM)
• Proficiency with advanced ERP/MRP system modules (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle SCM Cloud)
