Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of raw materials and components.
• Source, evaluate, and select new suppliers, while managing relationships with existing vendors.
• Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure material availability and quality standards are met.
• Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to minimize carrying costs and prevent stockouts.
• Monitor market trends, anticipate future supply needs, and identify potential supply chain risks.
• Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to order placement and delivery.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive purchasing or supply chain management experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and complex contract negotiation.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Proficiency with advanced data analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience with international sourcing and global supply chain logistics.
