Salary Range: $40,000 - $63,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product compliance.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed quality records and logs.
  • Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating containment actions.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality issues.
  • Conduct routine calibration checks on inspection and test equipment.
  • Support the development and revision of quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection criteria.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Understanding of quality control principles (e.g., SPC, Lean, Six Sigma basics).
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Lean/Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
  • Experience with CMM programming or advanced metrology software (e.g., PC-DMIS)
  • ASQ certification (e.g., CQT, CQI)
