Quality Technician | Zeeland, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, final, and incoming inspections of manufactured products and components.
• Utilize various metrology equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, gauges) to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately, maintaining detailed quality records and reports.
• Identify, quarantine, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action requests.
• Assist in root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventative actions for quality issues.
• Conduct calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment according to schedule.
• Support the development and implementation of quality control procedures and work instructions.

Recommended Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a quality control or assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and GD&T symbols.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and basic quality tools (e.g., SPC).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Experience operating CMMs or other advanced metrology equipment.
• Internal auditing experience (e.g., ISO 9001).
