Quality Engineer | Holt, MI

Salary Range: $74,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformances and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor and analyze quality performance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality from design to manufacturing and delivery.
• Manage supplier quality, including audits, performance monitoring, and defect resolution.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by defining quality requirements and validating manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with core quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans, and Root Cause Analysis (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
• Solid understanding and application of ISO 9001 or industry-specific quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 13485).
• Proven ability to conduct statistical analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• ASQ Certification (e.g., CQE, CQA, CSSBB).
• Experience conducting internal or external audits to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100 standards.
