Salary Range: $70,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize tooling, dies, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related production issues, implementing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Manage tooling projects from concept to production, including budget, timeline, and vendor coordination.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, design, and quality teams to integrate tooling solutions and improve efficiency.
• Conduct preventative maintenance planning and implement strategies to extend tooling lifespan and performance.
• Perform cost analysis and justification for new tooling investments and modifications.
• Ensure all tooling designs and operations comply with safety, quality, and industry standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in tool design, fabrication, maintenance, and repair (e.g., molds, dies, fixtures).
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for tooling design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, or die casting.
• Knowledge of materials science, metallurgy, and heat treatment applications for tooling.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, mold flow analysis, CAM simulation)
• Familiarity with automation systems or robotics integration in manufacturing environments
• Certified in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Hands-on experience with CNC machining, EDM, or additive manufacturing for tooling
• Proficiency with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems
