Maintenance Technician | Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $51,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Execute corrective repairs on malfunctioning manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
• Install and commission new production line equipment and machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Conduct equipment inspections and identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial machinery.
• Proven ability in electrical troubleshooting, repair, and installation up to 480V.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including component repair and fluid power principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
• Basic understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and industrial control systems.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Experience with PLC programming and advanced troubleshooting.
• Certified in welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) or fabrication.
• Familiarity with industrial robotics maintenance.
