Key Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and repair precision tooling, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Operate and program conventional and CNC machining equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs.
• Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and 3D models to determine tooling requirements.
• Perform precise measurements using a variety of metrology tools to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with existing tooling to optimize production efficiency.
• Select appropriate materials and heat treatments for tooling components based on application and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and improve manufacturing processes and tooling solutions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs).
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Expertise in precision measurement techniques and the use of metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Strong understanding of various metals, alloys, and their machining properties.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for tool and die related issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam).
• Experience with CNC programming and machine setup.
• Welding and basic fabrication skills.
• Experience operating advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM).
