Salary Range: $54,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for a high volume of hourly and salaried employees, including overtime and shift differentials.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and company policies.
  • Administer and process all payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, 401k contributions, and garnishments.
  • Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates or benefits.
  • Generate and distribute various payroll reports for accounting, HR, and management.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and payroll policies in a professional and timely manner.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 3+ years of end-to-end payroll processing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with payroll for hourly employees, shift differentials, and various timekeeping systems.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency with major payroll software (e.g., ADP, UltiPro, Workday) and HRIS.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with time & attendance systems (e.g., Kronos, UKG, ADP Workforce Now) common in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing for unionized workforces and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis, reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Understanding of manufacturing-specific pay structures (e.g., shift differentials, production bonuses, piece-rate).
