Salary Range: $54,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely weekly or bi-weekly payroll for all manufacturing employees.
• Manage and verify employee timecards, attendance records, and shift differentials, collaborating with production supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and company policies.
• Administer payroll deductions for benefits, garnishments, and other voluntary and involuntary items.
• Prepare and submit required payroll tax filings (e.g., 941s, W-2s) and internal payroll reports.
• Reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts and bank statements.
• Process new hires, terminations, and employee changes within the payroll system.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience processing multi-state payroll, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with major payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and time & attendance systems.
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations, including FLSA, wage and hour laws, and tax compliance.
• Experience handling complex payroll scenarios such as shift differentials, overtime calculations, and union dues.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience; FPC or CPP certification is a plus.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with time and attendance systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., Kronos, ADP Workforce Now Time).
• Familiarity with calculating shift differentials, production bonuses, or piece-rate pay structures.
• Understanding of payroll implications for unionized workforces or collective bargaining agreements.
• Experience with payroll processing within a large ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor) common in manufacturing environments.
