Salary Range: $42,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance.
• Inspect welds for defects such as porosity, cracks, and incomplete fusion, and perform necessary repairs.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues to ensure product integrity and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to identify areas for process improvement.
• Select appropriate welding materials, filler metals, and equipment for specific tasks.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding preferred.
• Proven experience with various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with welding safety procedures and regulations.
• Experience with quality control and inspection of welds.
• Proficiency in using welding equipment and tools.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS) credential
• - Experience with robotic welding systems and programming
• - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• - Proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications
• - Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as RT, UT, MT, or PT
